Natural Waxes
Carnauba · Beeswax · Candelilla · Rice Bran — bio-based, traceable, and certification-ready
Product description
Natural waxes are plant and animal-derived waxes that have been used in industrial and cosmetic formulations for centuries — and are today experiencing a significant resurgence in demand as manufacturers across cosmetics, food, personal care, and adhesives seek sustainable, bio-based, and vegan-compliant alternatives to petroleum-derived materials. WME supplies a curated portfolio of the most commercially important natural waxes: carnauba wax — the hardest natural wax, sourced from the leaves of the Brazilian carnauba palm and prized for its high melting point, brilliant gloss, and exceptional hardness; beeswax — a multifunctional natural wax offering excellent emulsification, plasticity, and skin compatibility across cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications; candelilla wax — a vegan alternative to beeswax derived from the candelilla shrub, widely used in lip care, coatings, and confectionery; and rice bran wax — a hard, high-melting natural wax extracted from rice bran oil, increasingly valued for its emollient properties and clean-label positioning in cosmetics and food coatings. All natural waxes in our portfolio are sourced with full traceability, available with relevant certifications (organic, Kosher, Halal where applicable), and supplied in pastilles, flakes, slab, and powder form.
Growing market trend: demand for natural and bio-based waxes is accelerating across cosmetics, food, and personal care as brands respond to clean-label, vegan, and sustainability requirements. WME stocks all four key natural wax types with ready availability across the MENA region.

Natural wax portfolio
The hardest natural wax. Exceptional gloss, high melting point (82–86°C), and outstanding hardness make it the gold standard in cosmetics, food glazing, and polishes.
Multifunctional and skin-compatible. Excellent emulsification, plasticity, and water-resistance — the go-to natural wax in pharmaceutical ointments, lip care, and luxury cosmetics.
The leading vegan alternative to beeswax. Harder and more brittle, with a higher melting point — ideal for vegan lip balms, confectionery coatings, and natural adhesives.
Hard, high-melting natural wax with excellent emollient properties and a clean-label profile. Growing rapidly in natural cosmetics, food coatings, and sustainable packaging.
